One issue seems, periphery. What is it we can see? I think of us with blinders on, and, Forest for the trees.
Perhaps we all are bound; restricted by our mind. The extent to which we’re open, will dictate what we find.
One issue seems, periphery. What is it we can see? I think of us with blinders on, and, Forest for the trees.
Perhaps we all are bound; restricted by our mind. The extent to which we’re open, will dictate what we find.
What can I say?
It’s been a hell of a day.
Some good and bad.
How was yours?
If I was a drinkin’ man
I’d be hittin’ the fridge
And-crackin-open
That-first-bottle of Coors.
But, I’m not. I don’t drink.
And-I-have-time for a chat.
Wanna talk? Or-do-you-not really care?
How was your day(?),
Is a nice thing to ask.
But, don’t bother asking
With that stupid blank stare.
At a point, you-just-stop-listening.
You’ve got to move ahead.
You have learnings in its place;
Other’s thoughts and what you’ve read.
I’m talking about Your-schedule;
Your time. It must be planned.
If you have goals that you will reach,
You’ve got to play your hand.
Controlling the controllables.
Defining the distractions.
An important key to mind?
Awareness, of your reactions.
They will derail your focus.
They lead to rabbit holes.
Reactions are a killer
Of one’s dreams and goals.
Some space from eachother
Is just what we needed.
Like we’re a-part-of-a-machine
That’s become overheated.
It’s a chance to step back
And for us all to reflect.
To evaluate self
And to consider neglect.
Now, closer with family,
And work in its place.
We all can revisit,
That which we chase.
As it was we woke up,
And rejoined the grind,
Mindless behavior
Leaving values behind.
Like we’re now waking up,
Each day more tuned in.
To what’s really important.
The chance to begin.
A new path is here;
A new day to do right;
To be mindful of others;
To choose not to fight.
Because the roles we’ve been playing
Within the machine?
It’s time to check the engine.
It’s not running clean.
So what is your part?
What will you do?
It’s a chance to make change.
To thine own self be true.
And if we are
We’ll come through this much stronger.
Cleaner parts
Means the engine lasts loner.
We know this is true.
That we each play a part.
We need everyone’s best,
And that it come from the heart.
One love, together.
It starts now at home.
Minding right now.
Leave the BS alone.
You must face the facts
And play the game.
Make them think you’re impressed
And say their name.
It’s their favorite word.
And, let them talk about “I”.
They’ll then find the like you
And won’t even know why.
This is sales 101,
And how to win a friend.
It’s not manipulation,
But a means to an end.
Most try to convince others
That they know what’s right,
Which is saying, “you’re wrong”,
Which leads to a fight.
In other words,
If you want in their door,
Allow them to believe
That they know more.
And, you know where they hurt,
But don’t point it out.
Allow them to reveal it,
A Must! Have no doubt!
We might see the same thing,
But not the same way.
Just look at our actions
And-what each of us say.
The things I consider
As time passes by
Are undoubtedly different,
But we don’t quite know why.
At least not in the moment.
We’ve different roles.
And we’re trapped within systems
That are riddled with holes.
So we fight for ourselves,
And against eachother,
Where there’s a fine line between
Enemy… and brother.
Incredible the amount of times
I don’t get an answer to my questions.
A response. Yes. But not an answer.
So I patiently and politely ask again…
While thinking, “Hey moron. Let’s try this again.”
You know what’s not working,
And you think you know why.
So you make some adjustments.
Which you’re eager to try.
You’re mostly self taught,
But you’re wanting to learn.
You’re just not quite sure
Which way you should turn.
There is no wrong answer.
But please, keep YOUR head.
You won’t have the answers
From all the books that you’ve read.
Others opinions?
Their “facts” and advice?
Grain of salt, friends.
I won’t say it twice.
Give yourself credit.
You’ll find the way.
Believe in your progress.
That’s all I will say.
Your head’s in the sand
And you don’t even know it.
Like the truth is the bar,
And you are below it.
You may-not know better.
Either way, you’re to blame.
You’re the Leader.
I think it’s a shame.
What’s worse is-that
I’m sharing this light.
Your reaction?
Fight or flight?
And-so this is your ego.
You’ll not be confronted!!!
But, with a small and closed mind
Your growth will be stunted.
Better said, you’re ignorant.
And, you’re still like a child.
You never grew up.
You’re a Leader? That’s wild.
Holy Cow!
To put it politely.
You haven’t a clue.
Not even slightly.
You’re not even aware,
You don’t even know.
You’ve got to see this.
C’mon! Let’s go!
Can you believe it?!
What do you think?!
We never thought
It would actually sink!
But here we are
And there it is.
That’s it. It’s over.
It’s no longer his.
We knew he sucked.
We believed he was lost.
A matter of ego.
And here’s the cost.
The price to pay.
His business is gone.
He wouldn’t listen.
We were a pawn.
A cog in the wheel.
The machine couldn’t last.
He never learned
From the lessons from past.
He ignored the truth
And saw what he wanted.
Karma has spoken
And now he’ll be haunted.
And he’ll move on.
But you know he won’t learn.
Despite the scar.
In spite of the burn.
He’ll just blame it on others,
Like it wasn’t his place.
Those others were fat
And a total disgrace.
Funny not funny.
Dissapointing and sad.
He’ll never know
What we knew that he had.
