Gotta get there.
You quicken your pace.
It starts with a thought,
Comes a feeling you chase.

Then you’re lookin’ for peace;
Relief from stress,
That you brought on yourself,
And I call this, a mess.

Confused by your story;
You-cannot just be.
Like you’re in your own way,
And don’t know what you see.

Food for Thought

What you see is what you get,
But-you-might-not-know what you’re looking at.

Is it fair to say that we usually don’t?; that we most often see things within the confines of our mind?

Take a rainy day for instance.
Do you see the blueless sky and think, there’s sunshine and blue skies beyond the grey I see?

I wonder too how much we take for granted.

I think back to parenting, when my children couldn’t yet talk, and were just learning to walk.
I recall an awareness of moving too quickly, through the world that i am all too familiar with. As in, catch up young one. Do as i do, as it seemed lost on me that they understood so little about where they were… relative to my understanding of things.

As I was sayin’.
Askin’ you
Why you that way.
We’re better than this,
Is now leftover
About hard feelings.
With a stacked deck.
And feeding the poor me story
With media
Reminding us
That we’re right
To fight
Our way out
Of the confusion.

As more and less than we are.
A grain
That’s insane.
Like right before our eyes,
With cries
That we mistake.

If I’ve been there
I can tap it;
State of mind,
Like how I wrap it, up.
Hard as you want,
But mixed as you know it
The way you came,
Before you now.
Is the mystery…
I know.

We keepin’ up.
Holdin’ up
Our story,
In time,
To fail,
To sail,
And to run outta water.
Wherever we are,
Til we’re Not.

Like dad Shot mom,
And then himself.
My mental health left
In question.

What did i do with that,
You ask?
Moved on,
As you would,
The way we know
With Love.

Tick tock.
Tip Tap.
Wrapped up.
Tapped you.
Only you can let me in
To you
Through recieving.

I give what I may.
The way we know.

Einstein quotes to ponder, or ignore…

Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school.

It’s a miracle that curiosity survives formal education.

The only thing that interferes with my learning is my education.

The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge, but imagination.

The only source of knowledge is experience.

Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.

A man who reads too much and uses his own brain too little falls into lazy habits of thinking.

Confusion of goals and perfection of means seems, in my opinion, to characterize our age.

If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough.

Can’t Think of it

Tip of your tongue;
Won’t come to you.
There isn’t a thing
That you can do.

It’s stuck in your head,
Which is where it will stay.
Frustrating, right?
That’s all you can say.

And, it comes to you later;
Always does.
Not sure why;
That’s the way that it was.

Get in the Game

Moving onto the next thing;
Continuation of past.
I look to the future;
Like with fishing, I cast.

I thow out a line,
With hope for a bite.
There-are-no guarantees.
There’s no wrong or right.

And, sometimes you catch em.
Sometimes you don’t.
One thing’s for sure;
If you don’t try, you won’t.

Get focused on JOURNEY.
Enjoy the TRY.
Emersed in the task.
Not worried about why…

Or, why not…
Because you’ve set an intention.
And, behavior like this,
Is what leads to invention;

Not of product nor service,
But discovery within;
Change in your sight,
And the chance to begin;

Again, or something different.
We use what we learn.
See through failure.
It’s just a sign that says, turn.

And, move on. Move forward.
Get up. Try again.
Or, try something else,
But the effort’s the win.

And, it’s usually the case,
That-the-first-steps are hard.
But, it’s you with the hand.
You-must play the card.

While the deck may seem stacked,
And that others want-you to-lose.
It’s not up to them;
You-alone must choose.

So, get in the game.
At least you’ll have played.
Bet on yourself.
If not, you’ll have stayed…

The same.
