Judging my work.
Reading my writings.
“Who is this Jerk?”

What is his background?
Is this worthy of merit?
They’ll see it as trash,
But it’s possible they share it.

Look at this writing.
What do you think?
I found it impressive.
It speaks to the brink.

The unknown world.
The perspective’s unique.
I like the style,
But there are some things I’d tweak.

As an expert and critic;
A judge and a leader.
He likely seeks fault;
His job as a reader.

So what makes great work?
There’s a system in place.
Is recognition the goal?
Is that what we chase?

As writers we think,
And we deliver impressions.
But what and for who?
Am I a teacher with lessons?
