Context is King.
What do you see?
What are you hearing and learning?
The Ego’s a wall.
Most men will fall;
Blind in their roles, yet while yearning.
Lost, yet so close to the truth.
Affraid; the other end of the ego.
We believe what we see.
There’s a story we feed.
And, then there’s the truth that we don’t know.
Got things to do.
In what order? What speed?
How clear is the course,
And what do you heed?
How many decisions
Do you have with each step?
Did you finish the job?
Are your promises kept?
What’s your awareness?
If conflicted, that’s fine.
Our brain is a blessing.
You have yours. I have mine.
Within mine, I’ve a hope
That I’m sharing. Be clear.
May we all walk with love
And trust God to steer.
When you least suspect it…
It can be hectic
Cause you didn’t expect it,
But you gotta accept it,
For what it is.
So, what is it?
What happened?
How are you effected?
Have you elected to react?
Were you attacked?
The way it was has changed?
The future, you were wanting, rearranged?
So, where do you go from here?
Do you know who you are?
Are you identified by things?
Your value changed by what life brings, or doesn’t?
Never gotten mad
To the point that I break;
Hate.
My only focus, on you;
What I’ll do;
Is your life that I’ll take.
Can’t wait.
No turnin back;
Straight attack.
Tunnel vision.
Not even wishin no more,
It was different
Line was crossed.
Say I’m lost
To the world the you know, Joe.
Check the books.
It’s been said.
Seein red;
Out my mind;
Outta time
In this life,
And I’m takin her with me.
You gotta admit it.
You had it a minute,
But held On,
And it’s Gone,
And now you ain’t with it.
Flip it though
And you See
When you lookin at ME
It’s EASY to BE
On that SIDE
Cause you Hide
When you ain’t the one
That’s in it,
But Spin it,
Around,
Up and down
You a clown;
just an Act
For a minute.
Stand-tall and smile,
With your shoulders back.
You’re right-where you-should-be.
There’s nothing you lack.
You have what you need.
You have more than enough.
Life’s not about fair.
It’s supposed to be tough.
So make the most
Of who you are,
And challenge yourself
To keep raising your bar.
Get with positive thinking;
Belief that you can;
Belief that you’re Great,
And a part of God’s plan.
You are his light,
And made to shine bright
It comes from within,
And it is your right.
Not reserved for a few;
We’re all made this-way.
So, don’t allow others
To ruin your day.
Decide here and now
To move forward as whole,
And to let go of the things
That have taken a toll.
I step away,
Every so often,
To consider the the day;
Just a break.
Recallibration.
Meditation.
Refocus.
My way is time that I take.
Not all about feeling,
Cause you know when it’s There;
Means your mind is aligned;
How you know you’re Aware.
But, what do you know
Of the feelings you have?
Have you ever explored the Why?
You must be observer
Of feeling and thought,
Only then will you see the Tie.
With a distracted mind
It’s hard to find
The thing you’re looking for.
When it comes to thought,
Let it go;
A case of, less is more.
Full of thought tonight.
Full of gratitude.
Full of hope.
Full of sadness.
Full of willingness to give more of myself.
Excited to be a part of the new year.
Wishing you extra peace and joy.
Hoping you find comfort in the road ahead.
Love yourself and others, patiently, and compassionately; the best you can.
Work hard, and hold others above your work.
Do the right things.
Trust in yourself and in Life.
Be positive.
See the good in things, yourself, and in others.
