Sticks and Stones

I’ve been told than I’m
Awful,
A jerk,
A liar,
Lazy…
Stupid,
Selfish,
Nasty and crazy.

I’ve been told that I’m
Slow,
Forgetful,
Useless,
Wierd…
Ugly, and-that-I
Don’t-look-good with-a-beard.

I’ve been told many things like this, and that’s ok,
Because i-can’t-control what others say.

But, I can control
What I think about me,
And the way that I act;
Not what others see.

I believe in myself.
That’s all on me.
I decide who,
And-how to-be.
