Today, I watched a honey bee
Pass away,
On my driveway.
We shared a moment.
With a tiny twig
That lay nearby
I gently moved the bee
To a small indention next to him.
Obvious to me, a resting place.
I did my best to comfort him,
As he took his final breaths.
An ant climbed on him;
Walked to his eye,
Right as he was dieing.
He passed away.
I’m thankful to have spotted him.
I’d been pulling weeds from the driveway’s cracks.
A nice, real moment inside and outside of a troubled world.
