You have something to say,
But you don’t know if you should.
You don’t because
You thought someone else would.
Time goes by,
Then you mention the leak.
That’s gone unfixed
For more than a week.
You feel like a burden
For calling it out.
Worried you’ll offend someone,
But you’ve worked throught your doubt.
You said it. It’s fixed
After time goes by.
But, you begin to wonder
Why you even try.
As those around you
Seem lost in their roles.
Protecting themselves,
And ignoring the holes.
Why stick your neck out
For the system that’s there.
If it goes unappreciated,
And seems more like a dare.
A risk not worth taking?
Most feel resigned.
Shame on the leaders
That accept playing blind.
