Smile and keep your shoulders back,
Gram repeated to me.
I’m sure she knew things
That i couldn’t see.
I now get the advice,
More and more.
And, I now know she sensed
What life had in store;
That with incredible loss,
The road can seem long.
And, smile goes a long way
As we’re gettin’ along.
Shoulders back’s about posture,
And how we hold ourself;
A reminder for me
To check myself.
Remind yourself to smile and keep your shoulders back, as often as you can. It’s a simple way, that goes a long way.
